Who we are and what we're writing about
What the fuck is SLAPS?
If you happen to be outside of the friends and fam that we coerced into reading, you might not know who we are. Nice to meet you.
SLAPS is the brainchild of creative director Sebastien Vandecasteele; a team of young creators from around the world that work together on dope projects that we believe in.
That’s our entire mission: create shit that slaps.
Since founding the studio in 2020, we’ve been the team behind undeniably catchy initiatives, working together with award-winning tech to award-winning entertainers.
Nothing that ships from our desk is standard.
We don’t have a playbook and we don’t work with templates. We procure concepts from our understanding, perception and translation of culture. And our team is undeniably culture obsessed.
We consume within the zeitgeist of now to predict and create for tomorrow.
Okay, but what the fuck are we writing about?
Great question.
To be a good creator, one must be first a consumer. We’re always on the hunt for inspiration, picking up whispers and secrets before they rise to the forefront of mass adoption.
Our first series "From the desk @ SLAPS” will be a weekly collection of the items that inspired the creatives seated around the shared desk in our Barcelona studio. From unique furniture to interesting hues, we spend hours talking about what dope discoveries we make each week. We’ve decided to share our findings with you.
And we hope that you, too, might find inspiration in it as we did.
